What is Moto Mods?

Moto Mods is the groundbreaking technology concept that gives Moto Z enhanced capabilities, only limited by your imagination. A mod is a hardware extension that adds or enhances a hardware function on the phone in a snap (using patented connectors and magnets). Examples of Mods that are available from the launch on September 9th are a boosted JBL speaker, a 70 inch projector and a powerful power bank that easily snaps to the backside of the phone. Learn more at motorola.com.

Who can develop mods?

Anyone and everyone. Moto invites innovators and makers from across the globe to join the development process through the MDK or Modular Developer Kit. Open source repositories and other developer resources are available at Github

Moto considers the Nordics a key market for modular technology. There are no other  markets with such a dense and capable selection of innovative and entrepreneurial makers and engineers on the globe.

Where can I get a Moto Modular Developer Kit?

The Modular Developer Kit can be ordered at developer.motorola.com

Where is the event?

The Release Event for Moto Mods will take place at the Swedish prime hub for hardware innovations, Things @ Drottning Kristinas väg 53, Stockholm.
